Our town is museum's new main exhibition. It tells about workers life in a Finnish industrial town in 20th century. In exhibition visitors can go to People's hall, Cooperative store, Workers' savings bank and Museum print shop and see how working life has changed from washerwomen to punch card maker's office.

First international contemporary art exhibition made by Roma female artists from Europe opens in Tampere, Finland. The exhibition discuss how do female Roma artists from different European countries perceive the world in which they live and how do they see their own identity. Most artists are pioneers and have become artists against prejudice and stereotype of the invisible Roma woman.
Artists in the exhibition are: Lita Cabellut from Spain, Delaine Le Bas from England, Marika Schmiedt from Austria, Sara Elter from Italy, Márta Bada and Erika Lakatos from Hungary, Maja Ljubotina from Slovenia and Kiba Lumberg from Finland. There are paintings, photographs, video art and installations.
Me, you and the others –exhibition is produced by Cultural Association Aurinko and Finnish Labour Museum Werstas. Exhibition is supported by Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, Alfred Kordelin Foundation, Kone Foundation and Sokos Hotels Tampere.
