Arriving by bus or tram


Werstas is located near Tampere city centre along public transportation routes. There is an approximately 7-minute walk along Aleksis Kiven katu from the town square to Werstas. Werstas is an approximately 15-minute walk away from Tampere bus station.

Arriving by train


There is an approximately 20-minute walk from the railway station to Werstas.
You can also take a bus from the railway station. The nearest bus stop is Finlayson (stop no. 0087), which is located 200 metres from the museum. Werstas is 600 metres from the town square (Keskustori) bus stops, and there is an approximately 7-minute walk along Aleksis Kiven katu from the town square to Werstas.

Parking


The nearest car parks are P-Plevna and P-Frenckell.

In front of the museum, on Väinö Linna Square, there is a car parking place reserved for disability permit holders.

The main entrance is located in Väinö Linna Square.

Accessibility


The information point is located on the street level.

There is a doorbell at the main entrance in Väinö Linnan aukio to enter the building. All exhibition areas are accessible except the Steam Engine Museum of which only the top landing is accessible.

Guide, assistance and hearing dogs are welcome to the museum.

The cloakroom is located on the street level. There are also lockers that can be locked and used free of charge.

There is a wheelchair in the lobby for visitors’ use.

An elevator to the other floors of the building is located near the cloakroom.

Induction loop is available for use in the information desk, auditorium and Galleria Bertel.

Toilets are located on the street level next to the cloakroom and also on the exhibition level.

The accessible toilet is located on the street level next to the cloakroom.

The childcare room is located on the street level in conjunction with the accessible toilet. There is also a microwaveoven in the lobby. You may ask the staff for assistance to heat up food for children.
